I wanted to flag a new NatCap platform: we’ve launched The NatCap Review on Substack. It’s a public space where we’re sharing longer form stories and reflections on our work, aimed at making the science, policy, and practice behind natural capital more visible.
I and others will be contributing to a Software & Modeling column. This column is where we will go deeper on the software side of NatCap’s work. We’ll cover topics around InVEST and the Data Hub, including new features and the problems they hope to address.
We plan to use it to share how we think about open source development, what we are learning from real world applications, and where we are headed next with data, APIs, and community contributions. This column will publish quarterly to start, with occasional shorter updates.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this Forum space by sharing your questions, feedback, and insights. We continue to improve InVEST and learn a great deal because of all of you.
