I successfully ran the habitat quality model using the 0.5 half saturation value. However my study area hasn’t seen much of any land cover change during the study period. And from what I understand, it is encourage to take 1/2 the degradation value and run the model the second time. Doing this, I see that in my forest class, the HQ value is relatively low. I am wondering if there’s a reason why places with high habitat in my first run are showing high HQ and relatively low HQ in the second. Also, how important is it to make the second run with half the degradation value?
