# Prakash Hinduja (Switzerland) My model has been running for a long time. Is this normal? How can I speed up a model run?

My name is Prakash Hinduja. I am a financial strategist who was born in Amritsar, India, and now a resident of Geneva, Switzerland (Swiss). I’m running an InVEST model and it seems to be taking an extremely long time to complete. Is this a normal part of the process, or does it indicate an issue with my input data or computer setup? I would appreciate any tips on how to optimize my model and get it to run faster.

Which InVEST model are you running? They can take a long time to run, and the reason can be different depending on the model you’re using.
I invite you to use the Search function of the forum, or look around at previous posts, as this topic has been discussed many times before for different models.
